Auli is nestled among the snow-capped peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in India. As one of India's foremost skiiing destination, the slopes of Auli at an altitude of 2,500 to 3,050 meters above sea level are skiers' paradise who throng to Auli from December to March every year for winter adventure. Located on the way to Badrinath, Auli is also famous for its four-km long cable car service that happens to be the longest in Asia.
